Development Status

GBBopen development is progressing steadily. GBBopen users are encouraged to update their GBBopen sources frequently. Day-to-day development activities can be followed on twitter (http://twitter.com/GBBopen) or RSS (http://twitter.com/statuses/user_timeline/GBBopen.rss).

The following tasks are underway:

  • LLRB-tree storage (nearly finished...)
  • set-composite pattern matching (nearly finished...)
  • series-composite dimension values
  • series-composite pattern matching
  • sequence-composite dimension values
  • sequence-composite pattern matching

Here is the current stack of pending activities:

  • event function/printing propagation to new unit- and event-class definitions
  • automatic instance repositioning
  • speed optimizations when using multiple storage strateges for the same unit-class instances on a space instance (improved multiple-storage-object selection stategy)
  • instance-specific event functions and KS triggers
  • nD uniform-bucket storage
  • pattern options
  • instance remapping
  • multi-dimensional sweep optimizations
  • quadtree/R-tree storage
  • non-uniform bucket storage
  • distributed BB repositories

Volunteers Wanted

  • If you would like to help in creating an extended test suite for GBBopen, let us know at volunteer@GBBopen.org. Prior experience with Common Lisp unit testing is not required!
